Every employee is required to exercise personal responsibility and commitment to healthy working conditions, safe working practices, consciousness of the environment and delivery of high level of quality services.

Van Tongerlo Marine Services strives to optimal quality, health, safety and environmental care management in all its services. In order to achieve this objective Van Tongerlo Marine Services has adopted the following principles:

The Company shall comply with all applicable rules and regulations.

The Company shall set demanding targets to encourage and ensure continuous improvement of quality, health, safety and environmental care conditions.

Every manager shall demonstrate commitment to the Policy and shall provide adequate resources to comply with the Policy.

Appropriate risk assessment techniques shall be utilised in order to identify and analyse the health, safety and environmental risks inherent in Company working practices.

The responsibilities and authorities of all personnel shall be clearly defined and communicated to the personnel.

The management shall ensure that competent personnel are employed which are educated and trained to meet the functional requirements of their job.

Audits and investigations following incidents and/or accidents shall be organised on a regular basis in order to implement corrective actions, with a focus on continuously improving and updating our procedures.

Changes in the Company organisation and processes shall be effectively managed and communicated.

The Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Policy and activities or operations related to this Policy shall be communicated on a regular basis at various levels in the organisation.

The Company shall establish and maintain emergency response procedures to ensure proper response to any emergency situation on board of a managed vessel.
